Frequently Asked Questions
- Who are The Affordable Chef's services for?
- People on the go or families where both adults work. I can do the planning, shopping, preparing and clean up so your time can be used for better things.
- People who have special dietary needs or are not physically able to cook. I can accommodate any taste or dietary specification.
- People that have dinner parties or social parties catered. I am more personal but cost about the same.
- People who want a special dinner for a special occasion. There's no white table cloth dining in the rocky Mount area, so I can bring the gourmet to your home.
- People that want to have that dinner party, social party, luncheon, or romantic dinner who normally cannot afford to or do not have the time or resources to plan or prepare their event.
- Where do you do the cooking?
- I prepare food at your home to keep costs down. And that way you can oversee the process if you so choose.
- How long will you be in my home?
- On average, 2 to 4 hours, but this depends the number of guests, the number of courses, and what I am cooking. You do not have to be at home if I have some way to get in.
- Is there anything I should do to prepare?
- No. But you are responsible for place settings and beverages. I also do not provide serving dishes and utensils. I bring most of the cooking equipment but I do use some of your pots and pans as well.
- How do we get started?
- You contact me for a free consultation. We set up a visit to your home so I can determine what equipment you have and what food products you already have. This way I know what I need to bring with me, and we can save money on food items you already have.
- What type of payment do you accept?
- Cash or check.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Yes.
